HEN OGLEDD SPACE GOLF

Hen Ogledd take their name from the phrase for the Old North, the Celtic region comprising Southern Scotland and Northern England in early Middle Ages Britain. All band members hail "from historically different tribal regions of the Old North". Their debut album Mogic defies the orthodoxy of exploring mystical customs with acoustic instruments; instead they celebrate the paradoxes and similarities of the ancient and modern through melody, technology and return-journey time travel. Hen Ogledd's new single 'Space Golf' is the third to emerge from their forthcoming album Free Humans. Galactic synths and analogue drum machines meet ye old harmonies and folk-esque vocal melodies. The band speak of greedy, golf playing people, and ask them to blast all their hate and fear into the blue. Hen Ogledd's new album Free Humans is to be released 25th September 2020 on Weird World. -Ellie Rose-Davies
